About Me:

Hi! My name is Grace! I currently study the Bachelor of Desing, with a Major in Construction, and this is Matero - my portfolio site for a prospective architectural joinery drafting business. As many would relate, the creative field can be overwhelming at first. Growing up, I was exposed to different environments and encouraged to explore creative pursuits, which inspired me to study Architecture. Studying architecture forced me to rethink the way I approach the built environment which was exhausting at times. At the peak of the learning curve, I dropped out and joined Construction as a safety net. Now, 2 years later, I have slowly rekindled my love for everything design, art and politics. I built this because i sit in a specific gap in the industry where joinery can be technical, precise and still have a little bit of personality. Drawing is extremely crucial in the industry, and each person reads drawings differently to evaluate the information they need. Architects and interior designers care about the concept, details, finishes and overall heights the drawings should easily be able to be visualised. Whereas, cabinet makers and subcontractors focus on the buildability and minute details with simple, direct and practical drawings. I hope to deliver services which deliver drawings for both.
